I had a revelation. A revelation about myself. It was profound and it involved Candy Corn.
I have several friends that celebrate the fact that candy corn arrives on the store shelves this time of year. They dance and happily declare their love for this seasonal treat. I always feel left out...I want to like candy corn. I do. I don't know why I want to like it. That's a mystery still, it wasn't part of my revelation.
Anyway, I tried the candy corn, again, just yesterday. And. EWWWWWWW! It's nasty stuff. I give up, I just give up. Candy corn is now permanently shelved in my mind with the likes of soda and chewing gum. It's done. It's on the nasty shelf...in my mind.
So! I'm giving up on candy corn, but I can still be friends with Candy Corn Lovers. They'll still accept me, I think. I can't do the happy-dance with them when we spot a bag of candy corn, but that's not a terribly big deal...dancing really isn't my thing.
I also discovered that candy corn can have a useful purpose in my life. It can be used to adorn the top of a cupcake. A Halloween cupcake! Yeeeeahhh.
That's how I plan to use candy corn from now on! What about you? Are you on team Candy Corn or not so much? Either way, you can find happiness with cupcakes. It's true! Go make some. I used my favorite Perfect Party Cake and vanilla buttercream for these cupcakes.
Thanks for stopping by!
